Har Mar Superstar’s (aka Sean Tillman) video for “Tall Boy” off his new album Dark Touches (released 10/13 through Dilettante Recordings). Kind of sounds like Justin Timberlake…actually it really sounds like JT. But it’s intergalactically cooler.

Is That…Shakira?
Back in 2007, Shakira wanted to stimulate her mind instead of her hips. So, she took a summer class at UCLA on history. Amazingly, no one even knew about it until afterwards!
Most celebs try to get away to distant, remote places when they need a break. But, Shakira is known to really enjoy studying. She told The Guardian, “The universe is so broad, I cannot be at the center of it. So I decided to go to the university and study history for a summer course, just to kind of switch gears, taste the student life.”
Her alias was Isabel (which is really one of her middle names), and she was visiting from Columbia. Even the professor had no idea! She said in an interview, “I used to wear a cap and a big backpack, I looked like a boy. I didn’t get recognized.”

No Tigers and Bears
Just lions. Hundreds of them.
Erin McKeown’s new album Hundreds of Lions just became available on Tuesday. She’s been described as a quirky folky singer kind of gal. Think Ani DiFranco (who she’s toured with).
After having a listen to the album, I have decided (as usual) to share my favorites with you! First is “The Foxes” which I’ll be posting up a video for it shortly. I also really like “The Boats” and “The Rascal”. Oh, and “28” is a really pretty song.
She’s currently on tour with Jill Sobule. Check out this list of where they’ll be…as you can see it’s a busy schedule!
