Pretty Good Dance Moves “Bad Habits” Single

Dance Duo Pretty Good Dance Moves have premeired a new track called “Bad Habits”, which features the dreamy, sultry vocals of Lissy Trullie. With nods to Prince and Depeche Mode, this track comes just in time for dancing on roofs and cars in the heat of the summer night.

PopWrap says:

The ghostly haunting vocals of Lissy paired with the synth and spacy layers that Pretty Good Dance Moves have claimed as their signature sound mix together in “Bad Habits” like chicken and waffles — sweet, spicy and paired like our ears have taste buds.

Yacht’s Weezer Cover

Portland’s YACHT previously announced that for the first time in their history they’ll be hitting the road with a backing band, who they’ve lovingly named The Straight Gaze.  Today you can hear your first taste of what YACHT sounds like with live accompaniment via their new iTunes session in the studio with The Mystery Lights Band.  The session features three tracks from last year’s critically acclaimed full-length, See Mystery Lights, as well as a cover of Weezer’s song “Holiday.”

Fun fact:  Back in high school YACHT’s Claire L. Evans ran Geekrocklove, the 2nd most popular Weezer fansite at the time.

It Starts with Alex Metric

New (as of just yesterday) is an EP from Alex Metric. It Starts is composed of 4 tracks, the last being the title track remix by Evil Nine. You can buy the mp3’s at Amazon or Amie Street. (If you’re a member at Amie Street, then obviously you’ll wanna buy it there because it’s cheaper!!! Right now it’s under a dollar, but that probably won’t last too long!)

I am not sure why it’s been classified as house, though. Clearly, it’s electronica and I have a hard time hearing any house in the songs. Regardless, it’s some good stuff; I especially am likin’ the title track.

Don’t Keep it on the Low

I wanted to take the chance to tell you guys about my boy Brando. He’s a great friend and cool guy that’s been making music in some form or another for years. He’s recently moved to Orlando, and has just posted a new song up on his MySpace page.

His music ranges from acoustic and reggae and mostly whatevers in between. His new song, “Keep it on the Low” is fantastic. So, if you get a chance, swing by his page (by clicking here) and check it out (along with his other jams, too!)!
