Pretty Lights Releases 2nd out of 3rd EP for 2010

It’s a crafted mix of hip-hop, soul, breakbeats, and a dash of dubstep. In other words, a complete must-have!

Pretty Lights has also announced the bringing in of a new drummer, Adam Deitch, beginning with Wanderlust Festival today in California.  He’s done session/live work for everyone from Wyclef and Eve to Justin Timberlake in addition to his own projects Break Science and Lettuce. Expect Pretty Lights shows to be taken to a whole new level!

HIGHLY ANTICIPATED: New Cut Copy!!!

Just the other day Cut Copy released their newest single, “Where I’m Going.” Their new album won’t be out until January next year, which saddens me. But, I am ecstatic to have a new song from them in the meantime.

In Ghost Colours is from 2008, but doesn’t it seem like absolute ages ago?!?!

New Album: Toots and the Maytals

Reggae legends Toots and the Maytals are happy to announce the release of the band’s latest record Flip & Twist, released today digitally and in stores May 18.

In honor of today’s national holiday, Toots is releasing a special, 4/20-themed limited edition package, which includes a joint-shaped USB drive loaded with Flip & Twist, a Toots Stash Box, the physical CD of the album, and a variety of other gifts. The package is available via the band’s website along with digital copies of the album. Lucky fans will also be able to purchase a limited special bundle for $500 that includes a dinner and private acoustic performance by Toots on May 17.

 Colorado-based producer Pretty Lights, aka Derek Vincent Smith, is as good as his word, and his word is clearly great. As promised, he has released his first EP of an ambitious trilogy project, within minutes of finishing it and making the deadline of March 2nd.
