Just the other day Cut Copy released their newest single, “Where I’m Going.” Their new album won’t be out until January next year, which saddens me. But, I am ecstatic to have a new song from them in the meantime.
In Ghost Colours is from 2008, but doesn’t it seem like absolute ages ago?!?!
Go download “Where I’m Going” for free from Cut Copy’s website!!!

Formed in 2005, five piece Brit indie band Mystery Jets refer to as many genres as they want with out being stuck with any of them. Today’s new music Tuesday marks the release of Mystery Jets’ fourth album and newest creation: Serotonin. Â
Also, check out a couple free Mystery Jets downloads over at Last.fm by clicking here.
My faves from Serotonin are “Show Me the Light”, “Dreaming of Another World” and the title track itself. If you’re not sure if you like the band or haven’t heard any of their stuff, but you are a fan of Foals and We Are Scientists, then give ’em a listen!

Back in April, I introduced you guys to UK group Deluka and posted their hit song “Cascade.” Well, after spending a bunch of time in Brooklyn, they’ve written their full-length album that will be digitally released in September (physcially in October) on Vel  Records.
Get The Rapture’s remix of “Cascade” here!
The new material shows the growth Deluka has experienced during their time in Brooklyn. The lush production and the undeniable chorus of “Come Back To Me” prove that this band can write a great pop song. Gritty songs like “Trespasser” and “Waves” show the band’s mastery of layering of lead singer and guitarist Ellie Innocenti’s rock guitar riffs over the electronic beats of electronics expert Kris Kovacs. Drummer Stevie Palmer provides the flawless rhythm that has become a trademark of the band’s sound.Â
Deluka are also no strangers to the dancefloor. “Mean Streak” has the energy and the attitude to whip any crowd into a frenzy. The album closer, which has also become a hallmark closer for their electrifying live shows, is the epic “Capital City”, an anthemic track that could very well become indie rock’s answer to “Empire State of Mind.”
Click here to have a listen and download their newest single, “Nevada.”

If you like Grizzly Bear, have a listen to Active Child’s newest, “Curtis Lane.” My favorites are “When Your Love Is Safe” and “Weight of the World.” If you click the picture above, you can sample the songs on Amazon. If you’re a member over at Amie Street, you can get the whole thing for cheaper than Amazon.
Â
The latest from Au Revoir Simone is an album of remixes. It’s got Neon Indians doing a remix of “Another Likely Story” and Silver Columns remixing “We Are Here.” Two great bands remixing another great band. Check it out! (And same as with Active Child, this one’s available on Amazon by clicking the above image, or you can get it cheaper at Amie Street, too! — Maybe it would be wise to become a member over there! BUT if you get the one from Amazon, there’s an extra track of Tanlines’ remix of “Shadows,” and I am loving Tanlines…soooo…you decide! You could just buy the Tanlines mp3 from Amazon and the rest of the album from Amie Street.) Yay!

Macy Gray has just released a new soccer-themed video for “Beauty in the World” to celebrate the World Cup. The video, directed by Giuliano Bekor, features models hitting the turf in the Los Angeles Coliseum, where they exhibit some pretty fancy footwork, all in high heels and tight skirts. At first, it’s really cheesy…but it gets somewhat better. Besides, I’m sure it’ll be a hit with all the male football fans.
Macy Gray’s new album The Sell Out will be out next week, and she’ll be on making some TV appearances:
June 22  – “Good Morning America”
June 23 – “The View”
June 23 – “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”

On September 28th, Vagrant Records will release the latest studio album from Pete Yorn. This collection follows Yorn’s two 2009 releases. Rolling Stone said, “Yorn has found his voice on Back and Fourth, a mostly acoustic beauty.” It was followed in September by Break Up, a collaboration with Scarlett Johansson.
Pete Yorn’s forthcoming album, a self-titled volume with a plain black cover, was recorded on the spur-of-the-moment, in the summer of 2008. Yorn was in the middle of making (his last album) Back & Fourth in Nebraska when he got an email from Frank Black (The Pixies) suggesting that they record some tunes. Intrigued by the notion of experimenting with Frank, Yorn hopped a plane to Salem, OR, where the two set up an impromptu studio. They recorded the album in a mere five days even though the singer-songwriter-guitarist came down with the flu two days into the process.
“Frank didn’t give a shit about getting sick, so we stayed in the flow,” recalls Yorn. “He has an incredible ability to distill a song down to its core.”
Frank recalls, “Pete told me he wanted to better define himself as an artist. I think he just wanted to rock out. But as we headed down a path of realization I stripped him down a whole bunch. We battled in the best sort of way. I tried to get the session into a fearless and raw place, and to his artistic credit Pete took his songwriting to a fearless and raw place. This listener will find his or herself sitting right next to Pete on the couch. And the record totally rocks out.”
