James Murphy told us that the song is “about drunk people and fun things and the fact that all of the boys of the L.A. mansion we recorded at were called ‘the girls’ by our chef. We were the ladies of the mansion.”

Planet Anthem, which was released on March 16th,debuted at #140 on the Billboard Top 200 and #5 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.
This new video, which made its debut on MTV2 and MTU, was directedbyNoah Rappaport andGhost Town Media. It follows the sexual escapades of a skinny disco robot on a wild night on the town.
Here’s the new video from Setting Sun, aka prolific songwriter Gary Levitt, in anticipation of the upcoming release of Fantasurreal on June 1. Set to Levitt’s bouncy indie folk and animated by artist Charles Pieper, the video pays tribute to ’90s independent animation, a la MTV’s iconic “Liquid Television” series. Watching the Pieper’s trippy claymation interspersed between shots of Levitt, it’s hard not to expect early Mike Judge and “Æon Flux” shorts to follow.

Monkey Puzzle/Jive Records will release Sia’s new album, We Are Born, on June 8. It’s the follow-up to her 2007 smash, Some People Have Real Problems (wow, time flies, right?). We Are Born features contributions from The Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi and Inara George from The Bird and the Bee.
The first single “Clap Your Hands,” which will be released May 25, is a deliriously happy burst of good times and a call to the dance floor wherever you are. The album is replete with future dance classics including “The Fight” and “You’ve Changed.” The haunting signature Sia ballads are also present.
Sia’s Grammy nominated inimitable sound and spirit have captured everyone’s imagination, including Christina Aguilera who recently asked her to work on her forthcoming album. We Are Born is Sia’s invitation to her next adventure. Don’t miss the excitement!
Guess what? You can listen to six songs from the album at SiaMusic.net NOW!
Bassnectar posted up a new mix on Soundcloud 2 days ago…but if ya click here and go to the website, you can download the mix free. It’s MAGICAL mix of Bassnectar’s “Timestretch” and Nelly Furtado’s “Turn Out the Lights” (a song I’ve always LOVED) called “Magical World.”
