Second Single Released From Dimond Saints

Dimond Saints 1

On Sept. 24, under the blackness of the moon, Dimond Saints released the first single from Hunters Moon, “Stop Time” . With each phase of the moon, a new single is born, until the second installment of Dimond Saints album is complete.

The  second single, “MidNight”, maintains a dreamy melodic presence throughout, yet manages to break free and twist and shift in all the right places. The Dimond Saints craft is really shining bright on “MidNight”, with crystal clear production and a lot of dynamics, that makes this a must have for any connoisseur of Future Bass music.

Dimond Saints is the new project of, An-Ten-Nae and Releece. Their grand romance with making music, pushing its boundaries, and innovative use of vocals, is garnering attention from A&R Reps and media outlets alike.

Dimond Saints’ recent  remix of “LAYLA” effortlessly levitated itself to #1 on Hypem, making a total of 5 songs  that have made the top 10 on the famed Hypem, and garnered them over 5 Million plays on Sound Cloud & Youtube combined. It is no wonder the media is gushing over the saints and have garnered over 500 write-ups in global press, blogs and online publications from Billboard to Earmilk. With a creative mine full of musical gems and a heavy release schedule, it seems as if even the moon is attainable for these Saints.

Listen: Lana Del Rey – “Ultraviolence” (Hook N Sling Remix)

While he may come from the chilled-out shores of Bondi Beach, Australia, Hook N Slings musical creations are anything but mellow. His remix of Lana Del Rey’s chart-topping single “Ultraviolence” has already garnered over a million combined streams on Soundcloud and Youtube, and today the highly-anticipated official remix video is finally released on Armada Music.

First premiered exclusively on Idolator, the video features trippy, kaleidoscope-like production by nationally-acclaimed visual artist Ego and perfectly blends elements from the original version with influence of Hook N Sling’s house-infused remake. Watch below.

The down under producer’s meticulously crafted releases have been championed by the likes of Tiesto, Sander Van Doorn, Nicky Romero and more, and he’s collaborated with all-star talents such as NERVO, Wolfgang Garner, Kaskade, Calvin Harris, Miike Snow, Axwell, and now Lana Del Rey.

Mord Fustang Reveals Lead Single From Forthcoming 2015 Debut Album

Mord Fustang

Listen: Mord Fustang – “Drivel”

Following numerous Beatport Top 10 smashes and a slew of top festival and club appearances, DJ/producer Mord Fustang announces plans to release his debut album, 9999 in 1, on his own label Magic Trooper in early 2015. Finally lifting the curtain on the enigmatic wizard famed for merging teched-out house, disco, electro, glitch, and hard bass grooves in a single track.

Now, following an exclusive premiere with EDM.com, Mord releases lead single “Drivel”, his first new track since he took the dance world by storm with breakthrough 2011 hits “The Electric Dream,” “Lick The Rainbow,” “Milky Way,” “Magic Trooper,” “Champloo” and “Taito” on the renowned Plasmapool label.

Paying homage to his video game roots, Drivel is an electro-house anthem laced with the primitive sounds contained on the bootleg Nintendo cartridges of his youth – the first electronic music he’d ever heard. A true “classic Mord track” as he calls it, Drivel sets the tone for the electronic concept album that is 9999 in 1, who’s title derives from the random numbers on the plastic yellow cartridges of his first bootleg video games. “The album is a 8-bit homage I have for those games,” Mord states of 9999 in 1.

From remixing for the likes of LMFAO, Morgan Page, and CeCe Penniston to being voted Beatport’s “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” in 2012, Mord fast became an in-demand global attraction, bringing his laptop-smashing DJ/live performance everywhere from London’s legendary Ministry of Sound to the U.S.’s Coachella, Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo, and Ultra music festivals.

It was this success that laid the foundation for Mord Fustang’s artist album debut, a masterwork created over a two year stay in Los Angeles that builds on the innovative groundwork he’s already built, and trailblazes into some unexpected zones, too.

With more tracks to be revealed in the coming months, Mord is certainly a producer to keep your eyes and ears on this fall.

The songs on their upcoming album are being recorded in a basement in Baltimore using step sequencers and modular/analog synthesizers, straight to tape, without the aid of a computer.
“We’re excited for the fans who have supported us throughout the years to join us on this new journey,” says Christian.

Check ‘Em Out: Teeel

Teeel

Listen: Teeel – “Runners”

Check out this song, “Runners”, which is a new track from Teeel’s album Hydrostatic (out digitally now via Mush Records, followed by the physical release in November). “Runners” is the follow-up to Teeel’s first single “Disk Go”, which also has a super fun music video (see below).
On Hydrostatic, intricate synth and guitar work dance around bouncing basslines, laying foundation for an album full of vocal hooks. Teeel switches up styles from track to track, delivering dancefloor-ready grooves, dark washes of synthesized brooding, and pop hook after pop hook. If you dig folks like Holy Ghost! or Chromeo, you’ll probably love Teeel.

Check ‘Em Out: Sneakout

The Art of Hanging On

an anthem for rebels and rule breakers everywhere.” — NYLON
“…Sneakout exhibits a rowdier side of Fleming’s stylistic repertoire.” — Impose Magazine

Sneakout’s Robert Fleming crafts upbeat, electro-tinged indie-pop with a fun and mischievous vibe, so it’s only fitting that his new video for “The Art Of Hanging On” would feature drinking, partying, and general rowdiness. The twist is in the crew of characters he’s cast: a grandfather and his buddies, eager to teach one lucky grandson how to have a good time. Directed by Andrew Hines, who’s shot videos for A$AP Ferg & The Head and The Heart.

Shedding his previous moniker Victory — whose tracks were featured in national ad campaigns for Cadillac and iPhone & Burberry, as well as HBO’s Girls— Fleming chose to call his new project Sneakout, a name that embodies his values of living in the moment and not taking life too seriously. As an introduction to Sneakout, he put together the Letting Go Mixtape, which features brand new tracks alongside reworkings of some old Victory favorites. You can stream the full mixtape via Soundcloud.

Stream the Generationals’ New Album, Alix!!!

“ …sounds even better in 85-degree weather.” USA Today

New Orleans’ Generationals have released their highly anticipated fourth studio album Alix via Polyvinyl Records! Comprised of band members Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer and produced by Richard Swift (The Black Keys, The Shins, Foxygen), the new album has revealed itself as perhaps the band’s most confident record yet.

The album is an immediate classic, giving a tangible feeling of history which is no surprise as the duo have been friends since high school and Generationals co-captains since 2008. Built up with layers of rhythm, computer noises, RZA beats and poppy vocals, Alix is a good-smelling, subtly sexy, catchy-or-die blend of time-warp senselessness. It is an album lightly peppered with that signature Swiftian element but undeniably Generationals in taste.

Generationals recently announced a headlining North American tour in support of the release of Alix. Support on the run will be provided by Arum Rae and Springtime Carnivor + additional dates announced with Lowell.

Listen: Lazyeyes – “Islip”

lazyeyes

“An ode to the Long Island town, “Islip” starts off with heavy-sounding bass before morphing into an upbeat, jangling number with hooky guitars and rolling drums. There’s a fuzzed-out Kiwipop surf vibe to it all as well, with just a hint of darkened eyeliner.” – Exclaim

Lazyeyes is a three-piece shoegaze / dream-pop band from Brooklyn, New York formed in the summer of 2012. The band released their debut self-titled EP the following January 2013 which was immediately heralded by The Deli Magazine as “Best Psych / Shoegaze band in New York”. After a sold-out record release show at legendary Williamsburg venue Glasslands, the Lazyeyes EP garnered widespread acclaim from numerous underground music bloggers. Best New Bands described their single “Wait” as, “an excellent example of the group’s ability to erupt at an expansive, pyrotechnic level all the while sharply delivering pop-laden hooks.” Purple Sneakers called the EP “a moody and anthemic record, equal parts shoegaze and dream pop.” Soon after, tracks from the EP were featured on BBC Radio, XM Radio & various other FM stations worldwide. The band was founded by guitarist / vocalist Jason Abrishami (The Twees), who was joined by Paul Volpe (Triple Cobra) on bass and Jeremy Sampson (Eastern Hollows) on drums. The band plans to tour behind their up & coming EP which they just releases the first track, “Islip” from. The band will be playing at Rough Trade in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Friday September 26th.

“He sings, he DJs, he produces, he stuns…Tantalizing disco-inspired harmonies will no-doubt get you dancing.” – VIBE

Mastermind electronic artist, producer and singer, Mystery Skulls AKA Luis Dubuc, has announced his upcoming residency at one of LA’s hottest establishments, Dirty Laundry, for the month of October. Each consecutive Thursday from October 2nd through 30th, Luis will bring his dynamic set with live vocals, trigged samples and beats that come together in a dazzling fashion. He will also be joined by an array of supporting acts which will be announced later.

Hailing from Dallas by way of South America, Mystery Skulls has a knack for creating insatiable pop anthems, which blend hints of 70s and 80s pop and dance music with futuristic elements. He has also already captured the attention of legendary figures such as Nile Rodgers and Brandy, of which will be featured on his forthcoming debut album, Forever.

Earlier this year, I posted these videos — but here they are again, as a little reminder of the awesomeness that is Mystery Skulls:
