Check ‘Em Out: Marcus Santoro – “Bring You Home”

Melbourne’s Marcus Santoro lights up the house-music fuse boxes at the mere age of just 20. Aligning a mixture of rave and progressive house euphoria behind the console and within the locked doors of the studio he has truly laid down the law on musical enthusiasts and their playlists globally.

Today, the young DJ and producer arrives with a soaring new track, “Bring You Home,” featuring Michael Paynter, via Eclypse Records.

Sweeping unique sounds and impeding on heavy vocals, large chords and melodies to fuel momentum from dance music devotees far and wide – Marcus’ talent has emerged. A producer from the young age of 12, the inspiration flooded in reeling from a close but older and influential family friend. Pining to get on this bedroom decks and educate the neighborhood, the sounds came organically. It wasn’t long before his child audio assets in Michael Jackson, Coldplay and Daft Punk fell incredibly in tune with his own exploration of the musical mile. Taking to the studio before his teens, Dirty South and Axwell expanded his drive, reaffirming his beat. Unstoppable, the Santoro profile has been tapped by Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings, Ultra Records, Sony, Warner, Armada Music where his studio aptitude is imprinting itself on airwaves. ‘All the Way’ with The Potbelleez made its way to the Top 10 ‘Future Hits Chart’ on Shazam and on radio across the nation. His winning remix of ‘Lost & Found’ by Sick Individuals made its way to #19 on Beatport’s Progressive House Top 100. Marcus Santoro isn’t too far behind on support either, raking in names like Tiesto, Hardwell, Dirty South, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero and more..

Eclypse Records, launched in April of 2015 by Jason Forte and Josh Soon and Aden Forte (of Feenixpawl), has seen a huge rise since it’s inception. YourEDM mentioned, “it seems as though they had has the Midas touch in 2015” with the release of their first label compilation, and it seems that 2016 is set to be no different.

Mord Fustang Reveals Lead Single From Forthcoming 2015 Debut Album

Mord Fustang

Listen: Mord Fustang – “Drivel”

Following numerous Beatport Top 10 smashes and a slew of top festival and club appearances, DJ/producer Mord Fustang announces plans to release his debut album, 9999 in 1, on his own label Magic Trooper in early 2015. Finally lifting the curtain on the enigmatic wizard famed for merging teched-out house, disco, electro, glitch, and hard bass grooves in a single track.

Now, following an exclusive premiere with EDM.com, Mord releases lead single “Drivel”, his first new track since he took the dance world by storm with breakthrough 2011 hits “The Electric Dream,” “Lick The Rainbow,” “Milky Way,” “Magic Trooper,” “Champloo” and “Taito” on the renowned Plasmapool label.

Paying homage to his video game roots, Drivel is an electro-house anthem laced with the primitive sounds contained on the bootleg Nintendo cartridges of his youth – the first electronic music he’d ever heard. A true “classic Mord track” as he calls it, Drivel sets the tone for the electronic concept album that is 9999 in 1, who’s title derives from the random numbers on the plastic yellow cartridges of his first bootleg video games. “The album is a 8-bit homage I have for those games,” Mord states of 9999 in 1.

From remixing for the likes of LMFAO, Morgan Page, and CeCe Penniston to being voted Beatport’s “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” in 2012, Mord fast became an in-demand global attraction, bringing his laptop-smashing DJ/live performance everywhere from London’s legendary Ministry of Sound to the U.S.’s Coachella, Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo, and Ultra music festivals.

It was this success that laid the foundation for Mord Fustang’s artist album debut, a masterwork created over a two year stay in Los Angeles that builds on the innovative groundwork he’s already built, and trailblazes into some unexpected zones, too.

With more tracks to be revealed in the coming months, Mord is certainly a producer to keep your eyes and ears on this fall.

Remix: Yuksek – Off the Wall (DJ Harvey Remix)

Lyrically, he often expresses those feelings of solitude, though, musically, the results may be best enjoyed in a room wall-to-wall with sweaty skin.”— USA Today “PopCandy”

New Album: MOGUAI – MPIRE

Not many producers get handpicked by deadmau5 to conjure a full length artist album for his prestigious mau5trap imprint; so for German specialist Moguai to get the nod twice in as many years is one hefty testament to the sheer quality, imagination and originality of his musical output.
Now, and less than two years since the critically lauded release of his first ever mau5trap album We Ar Lyve back in April 2010, Moguai returns to the fray, and on the form of his life, for the agonizingly-awaited worldwide release of his latest long-player project – Mpire.
Available to buy now, the album itself is an exquisite piece of craftsmanship; artistically inventive, masterfully honed, perfectly coordinated and not an ounce short of what we’ve come to expect from this outstanding producer, working so consistently at the top of his game. With the juggernaut first single (also titled Mpire) released earlier this month hitting #1 in the overall Beatport chart within days, Moguai now looks set to further silence competitors and wow critics with this stunning new set of fresh, forward-thinking soundscapes, skilfully and thematically tied by an innovative touch that only he can attain.
Diligently incorporating elements of house, techno and electro, this work – two careful years in the making – has Moguai’s signature sound stamped all over it. Whether it’s the luxuriously complex, driving harmonies of “Dynamo” and “Heimaterde,” the progressive artistry of “Lyme” and Tommy Trash collaboration “In ‘N’ Out,” or the relentlessly pounding tech-bedlam that is “N.E.O.,” this stunning album delivers more than it’s fair share of peak-timers to satisfy the cravings of dancefloor junkies worldwide.
But it’s the spellbinding euphoria of tracks such as “Invisible”, “Styrum” and “Out of Nowhere” that elevate this album to that next level of innovative flair – one that so many artists struggle to achieve. Gentle, hypnotizing and evoking emotions of tranquillity throughout with their mesmerising synth progressions, these welcome moments of calm within an otherwise club-focused collection captivate the soul and carry the listener on a delicate journey through the ethereal. Just one listen and we begin to understand why the mau5 himself insisted so strongly upon another Moguai LP installment.
With some perfectly fitting collaborations and three exclusive offerings to round off proceedings (one each for Beatport, iTunes and Spotify) this album will no doubt become a mainstay in the collections of electronic music lovers young and old for years to come. In true testament to the infamous German composers that came before him, Moguai has created a masterpiece of a symphony that is as diverse as it is ingenious.
